I meant to elaborate on my previous post but just didn't have the time. So I will now.

V is sexy, yes, sexy. I dunno, there's just something about his voice, his clothing, the way he moves, and even the mask that just makes him irresistable. Hugo Weaving does an incredible acting job. Even though he's wearing a mask, we can still feel V's emotions coming through clearly.

The fact that he duels with empty suits of armor and wears a woman's apron while cooking with absolutely no self-consciousness only adds to it. So he tortured Evey, big deal. She deserved it. Well, she didn't deserve it but she was kind of boring so I wasn't bothered by it. Or, to put it another way -- V can torture me any day. *insert salacious thoughts here*
